As usual, our first concert of the year held held in the delightful St. Martin's Church, Womersley. This has become regular event for us over many years now, which is very much enjoyed by the Band. We are always made very welcome here and Judith is always very kind in her introductions.
The concert itself went off very well, with the highlight of the evening being a wonderful euphonium solo by Matthew Armitage whilst Sue, his mum looked on very proudly, and deservedly so, as he did a wonderful job. The euphonium was well represented this concert with Trevor also performing another great solo soon after.
After the concert was over, the organisers provided some very welcome refreshments which were brought round to the audience and band members alike. If you have never attended one of our concerts at Womersley, you really should come along, as they are always enjoyable occasions, and start our performing year off in the best possible way.
This year's Christmas Concert was entitled "The Xmas Factor" reflecting the musical show that catches everyone's excitement at around the same time as our concert is performed, along with the great musical content we have prepared for you.
