The Band like nothing more than to be performing in front of a live audience. It's what the hard practicing is all about!
Here is a summary of up and coming events in the Band's diary at present. Many events are open to all, and we would really love you to come along and join us. Venues are sometimes free or open air, so if you don't like the idea of stuffy formal occasions, these might just suit you down to the ground. And you won't have to pay for the privilege, either! So if you are in the area on any of the following occasions, you should have no excuse other than to come along and support your friendly local Band.

Although a regular event in the area, Knottingley Concert Brass have never been invited to perform at the Normanton Gala until this year. I believe the format for Saturday begins with the Carnival Parade assembling on Church Street beside the Poplar Inn in Altofts from 10:45am before parading around Altofts and Normanton starting around 11:15am. It ends in Haw Hill Park Normanton around 12:45pm just before the official opening of the gala at 1:00pm.
There are plenty of activities in the park during the rest of the day and we will be performing on stage again in the early afternoon. People who have attended this event previously say it is a great day out and caters for people of all ages. So why not come along and enjoy the day yourself. The gala continues on Sunday with more displays alongside all the stalls.
Following our successful first trip to St. John's in Goole earlier in the year, we are delighted that they have asked us to come back in November to perform our second concert of the year for them. They could not have been any more helpful at our first visit and we are very pleased to be able to return and perform a new concert for their enthusiastic audience.

We had a wonderful time at the switch on last year, despite the terrible weather. But that didn't diminish the entertainment or enjoyment in any way for this wonderfully organised event. Let's hope the weather will be kinder for everyone this year and maybe we can keep our music dry this time. It really is a great occasion for everyone, so come along from sunset and enjoy the fun.

The date for our Christmas concert has now been confirmed and the venue booked, so you can put this in your diary now. More details will be posted as usual, later in the year.

The lead up to Christmas in recent years has seen KCB perform a wonderful joint Christmas Concert sharing the stage with our friends, the excellent Pontefract Choral Society. It is always a delight and a privilege to perform alongside this excellent local choir, and we are doing so again in 2010. There will be sections featuring the choir and the band, and we are rehearsing a few items to perform together. There will also be opportunities for everyone to join us in some festive singing as well.
After the event, the organisers usually provide plenty of home made festive refreshments which are enjoyed by everyone. This really is a very special Christmas Concert and should not be missed.

We have also put together a full 1940's style evening's package of events, which includes music, singing, dancing, games, entertainment, quizzes and more. This can also be tailored to suit your needs.
We have the following formats available:
