| I've been in the Band since 1986 when I was 17, after hearing them play at my farther's church (back when they were called Knottingley Youth Brass). It has turned out to be one of the best things I have ever done. It has been a pleasure being part of this Band and I have had many satisfying moments, especially playing well in the big concerts and giving the community satisfaction.
Being involved in this Band has also given me a better social life, some of the best friends I have are in the Band. For anyone who plays a brass instrument, has played an instrument before or would like to learn, then I would recommend joining us at KCB. As you can see from our web information, we are a band of a wide variety of ages and not every member learned to play when they were young. We are not a contest band and that, as far as getting enjoyment in what we do, is a significant difference. That's not to say we don't take our playing seriously. | |
