Looking down from the balcony of the Castleford Civic Centre, over the Band in full swing on stage, for this charity fund raising event.
|With yours truly looking on, Steve Austerbury, the Buffaloes member who organised the event and was also a past KCB member, joins us once again on stage and we even give him his own solo piece to perform.
|Adding some humour to the evening, there was a small auction for who should be a guest conductor for a piece. With the highest bid going towards the fund-raising monies, he throws himself into the conductors role with relish, to the delight of the rest of the audience.
In a very moving moment, Cliff Poulter (94), the Buffaloe's only surviving founder member, is joined on stage by his wife (96) to have a commemorative photograph taken with the Band to celebrate the order's 50 years of fund-raising activities.
