Rehearsals

With the 25th anniversary concert being such a special event in the life of KCB, we put in an awful lot of work in preparation for the day, with many weeks of rehearsals at our normal meeting venue (above), and we also arranged to rehearse a couple of times at the school during the week preceding the event (below). But the time for rehearsals was all too soon past, and we found ourselves on stage in front of a packed and expectant audience. Looking smarter than at the rehearsal sessions (we hope), the show was on ... KCB 25th Anniversary Concert

After the interval, the pace moved up a gear and it was on with the glamour and glitz. Several presentations were made, and Steve and Graham posed for the offical photographs before cutting into the celebration cake.

Pete Rosser Especially for this concert, we had a brand new piece of music commissions by Pete Rosser, and we were delighted that Pete made it back up to the concert and conducted the piece himself.   George Hart George Hart has been associated with the band since the early days, and continues to keep in contact with the Band today. He still very occasionally takes up the baton on the odd occasion when Graham has been unavailable, and we couldn't let this 25th anniversary pass without giving tribute to George's commitment to the Band over the years. So in a surprise move, Graham called him onto stage to conduct one of the pieces.

Taking the applause But all to soon the show was over, and here we are taking the wonderful applause from the appreciative, packed audience. The feedback we have received has been excellent, and we will go forward into the next 25 years and beyond with wonderful memories of this day.
