From M62 Motorway
Leave M62 at J30 and head towards Wakefield on the A642. In one mile you
will reach Gordons garage (with a large yellow sign) on your left. Turn right at the junction in front of the garage onto Lake Lock Road. Follow this for about half a mile (beware all the speed humps) passing on the way, a church on the left, St. Peters School and the community centre on your right. Take the second right turning after the school into Rooks Nest Road (which is on the above map). Stay on this road for about a mile (more speed restrictions) where it bends to the left and then sharply right (it becomes Newton Lane here) and continue up the incline to the junction at the end of the road. Turn left, moving straight into the filter lane in the middle of the road, and turn immediately right into Victoria Street. The Memorial Hall is immediately on your left on Victoria Street, marked by the arrow.
From Wakefield
Take the A642 north towards the M62
motorway. Stay on this road for about two miles, and when you reach the
Grove Park pub turn left into Lime Pit Lane. Continue for nearly half a mile, then take your first left into Rooks Nest Road. Follow instructions above from Rooks Nest Road.
